Called to Be A Church
Our considerations for the reconfiguration and leadership plans are governed by the paramount importance of mission. We have sought to determine what best serves our parishioners and the wider community in an area that desperately seeks the consolation of Christian service, especially for those who are disadvantaged and suffer from spiritual or material hunger and need. The plan includes the flexibility to adapt to the "signs of the times" and to meet new challenges as they arise.
As two communities who seek to bring Christ to all people, we are bound to measure our success by witnessing to the presence of the risen Jesus and bringing the light of Christ to the "those that dwell in the shadow of darkness." We promise to be alert to any possibility of animating the gospel and to focus our energies in sharing the redeeming peace of the Holy Spirit to all we can serve.
